A growing network of partners working together to expand reach and deliver results.
Minnesota Canvas understands that strong networks are the foundation of strong teams. In the nonprofit world,
collaboration, alignment, and shared purpose are key to driving impactful change. That’s why we view networking
not just as an activity—but as a strategic tool that propels both individual and organizational growth.
Strong networks build strong teams. Within our own organization, networking is not viewed as an
extracurricular activity, but a strategic tool for development, alignment, and culture. Every week, we sponsor
corporate networking events designed to bring people together across teams, roles, and experience levels. These
gatherings create space for conversation, collaboration, and shared insight—strengthening cohesion, building
trust, and reinforcing the idea that success is a team effort. Over time, these events have helped build a
workplace where people genuinely know and support one another, creating a level of unity that directly improves
performance in the field.
For our office, we have a weekly Team Night event. On Team Night Thursdays, our teams end their workday
early, opting for a get-together at a local hang-out. Our representatives get to kick back and enjoy provided
snacks while they network, ask and answer questions, and have fun. These weekly events create a positive work
environment, benefitting all.
One of the most unique aspects of working within the nonprofit sector is the sense of shared purpose that
connects organizations across the industry. Unlike competitive, siloed business environments, the nonprofit
space often encourages collaboration over competition—especially among those committed to ethical outreach and
mission-driven work. This unity fosters an ongoing exchange of ideas, best practices, and campaign insights
across different teams and partner organizations. Through this collective mindset, our team stays informed on
emerging trends, new regulatory considerations, and creative outreach strategies being implemented nationwide.
The result is a workforce that is not only collaborative internally, but also plugged into the broader pulse of
the industry—ensuring that the campaigns we run remain relevant, informed, and impactful.
