The Leadership Journey

In order to give everyone a fair shot, the steps to success, both professional and personal, are clearly laid out and equal for everyone – Same criteria, same path, same expected rate of development. Everyone in our business, from people on Day One to the highest executives, started off at the same level and went through the same journey. This journey, which we frequently explain to new hires as “a ten-year sales program squeezed into one” (as it is), is one of the best opportunities available in this frustrating job market.

First Few Days: Account Executive

  • Getting involved in marketing campaigns
  • Training on the fundamentals of sales
  • Learning self-management
  • Receiving top-of-the-line one-on-one mentorship (beltlooping)

Two – Four Weeks: Account Manager

  • Developing leadership skills
  • Interviewing and building a team
  • Learning mentoring and how to be replicable
  • Mastering the acquisition of donations

Three – Six Months: Junior Executive

  • Beginning to learn backend operations
  • Training on client liaison
  • Learning financial responsibility and large-team management
  • Becoming a model representative and networking

Six – Ten Months: Executive

  • Beginning to run one’s own business
  • Everything culminates here

The systems and training that we use are comprehensive from Day One. Once a new employee masters sales, they get promoted to leadership (Account Manager). Once in Leadership, the only movement is up. Hitting various, explicitly laid-out criteria brings one up each tier, from Consistent Leader to Established Leader to Crew Manager to Junior Executive. By this point, a Junior Executive will be working closely with the office’s existing manager and networking with other managers and consultants across the globe, in order to have the best possible opportunity when they take the reins themself.

From this point on, the next steps up are regional, then national! The sky’s the limit!
