At Minnesota Canvas, looking professional is key. When we’re out on the street or in a mall, we only achieve success if we look our best. Due to our work in public, we must look as if we are always being watched.
More generally speaking, there is the catchphrase “Dress for the job you want”. In the working world, sporting sharp, clean business professional attire is a key way to demonstrate maturity and self-care.
Here is a quick guide to our office expectations:
- A tailored, fitted suit. Preferably, your suit is a dark monochrome.
- A crisp dress shirt that fits snugly against the torso. Color should be a light color, preferably white, but blue, pink, and humble patterns are also acceptable.
- A pair of black or brown leather shoes. Other formal shoes, such as dance shoes, are acceptable.
- Optional: A leather belt to match the shoes.
- Our office allows our employees to have fun with their fashion. Socks are required, but they may be any pattern you wish.
Our office’s dress code is meant to be gender-neutral, however women’s business professional attire, such as leggings and skirts, are fine.
We understand that there may be difficulty in selecting a wardrobe. Remember that high-priced apparel shops are not the only option. Make sure to look in thrift stores and ask friends/family if they can help you out.
Hope to see you soon! Rememeber, your first interview is just an email away!
